Surface Mounted: This fixture does need to be hard wired. Professional installation is recommended. Installation: 1. Take the slim metal (which is in the back of the mounting base with some screw holes) away from the mounting base; 2. Fix the slim metal onto the wall, use the screws in the poly bag; 3. Connect the power cords of the lamp to the 110V or 220V circuits (no distinction between the live line and zero line, one for live line and the other for zero line. If the wires were pretty long, please roll into a circle and place in a vacant position in lamp-chimney). 4. Attach the mounting base to the slim metal, using the round screw caps. 5. Fix the lampshade to the main fixture, and then screw in the led bulb.
